Bill Evans Trio's Moon Beams, recorded in 1962, is a collection of cooler than cool jazz ballads. It features 8 tracks of reflective melancholy using just piano, drums, and bass. To note, this album marked one of the first albums of many put out by the trio. Below is a live rendition of "Polka Dots and Moonbeams" - the first track off of Moon Beams. The recording is from a Rome concert in 1979 (a year before Bill Evan's death).
