NIN: Ghosts I-IV

To help promote their new 36-song album Ghosts I - IV, Nine Inch Nails is offering the first 9 tracks off their website for free. I've not listen to their stuff in a while, however this album is purely instrumental fitting in nicely with my current music interests. The tracks are ambient soundscapes - often very bleak and void - mixed with occasional heavy industrial rock fills. It's definitely an experimental project for them - Trent Reznor said himself - which I welcome with open arms. There are subtle hints of their past songs, however I think this album conceptually and musically transcends their earlier work. Check it out, yo.

For $5 you can buy the rest of the album.

Kids from the 90s: Blood on the Asphalt

OK. Going geeky on you all. Check out "Blood on the Asphalt" - a collection of DJ remixed battle stages from Super Street Fighter II Turbo. If you gamed in the 90s, then Street Fighter was on your top five - no doubt. Download it here for free (use mirror 1).

My Favs:

Rock the Asphalt - by Jivemaster

Mercenary Boxing - by Malcos

Past Music Projects (PMPing)

A combination of Apple's Garageband, free time, and an uber-geeky obsession for "Lord of the Rings" led me, DJ Cohi, to record "Nerd of the Rings" back in 2005. I got my inspiration from
DJ Shadow stuff. Enjoy!
