To help promote their new 36-song album Ghosts I - IV, Nine Inch Nails is offering the first 9 tracks off their website for free. I've not listen to their stuff in a while, however this album is purely instrumental fitting in nicely with my current music interests. The tracks are ambient soundscapes - often very bleak and void - mixed with occasional heavy industrial rock fills. It's definitely an experimental project for them - Trent Reznor said himself - which I welcome with open arms. There are subtle hints of their past songs, however I think this album conceptually and musically transcends their earlier work. Check it out, yo.
