Deftones bassist Chi Cheng was recently involved in a car crash in Santa Clara, CA which has left him in a coma. Fortunely, as reported by lead singer Chino Moreno, he is in "serious but stable condition". Source. I can only hope that he will make a speedy recovery.From high school to mid-college, the Sacramento based Deftones was always on my CD player (back when they existed). Their indie hard rock metal was a gateway band that opened my appreciation to a range of angsty music.
