The "Say Hey" Kid turned 78 today. Pictured is, at the time New York Giant, playing stickball with kids in Harlem. Here are some impressive stats from the Hall of Famer:

• Won two MVP awards
• Tied a record with twenty-four appearances in the All-Star Game
• Ended his career with 660 career home runs
• Is the only Major League player to have hit a home run in every inning from the 1st through the 16th
• Is one of four NL players to have eight consecutive 100-RBI seasons, along with Mel Ott, Sammy Sosa and Albert Pujols

Palm Ball Stymies AuDs and SLPs

In the season finale, AuD and SLPs (2-2) lost to Shake yo Bacon by a final score of 10-3. Shake yo Bacon pitcher featured a palm ball (tossed underhand and palm down) effectively keeping AuDs and SLPs off balance at the plate. Most damge was taken in the bottom 1st inning with AuD and SLPs allowed 6 runs.

AuDs and SLPs limit slaughtering

Playing with only 4 girls and 4 guys, AuD and SLPs (2-1), limited damage against the fully rostered Ocho Cincos (2-1). In the end, Ocho Cincos outslugged AuDs and SLPs 18-10.

Notable Plays:

• Ben slammed 2 homeruns
• Katie played! Yay!
• Marc stretched a single into a double
• Krissy came out!
• Jessica was awesome as lead-off
• Stacy played solid D in the outfield
• Colin made contact and held down 2b
