Amaranth
Amaranth was a 4 piece rock band formed by 4 UC Davis students. Their sound was a mixture of garage punk with pop accents. Members were Hector (vox/guitar/cowbell), Javi (guitar), Roxie (drums) and I (bass/synth). Source here.
Two of their shows were recorded. Check out the clips below! Below are some clips from back in 2005. Enjoy! (Click on links below for more 'tube vids)

Back to Blogging...
When you've done as much Bay Area traveling as I have these past of couple of days (via car), there's little time to blog. 400 miles to be exact between Thursday through Monday. I will be back in Seattle on Thursday. Expect pics on Friday-ish.

Seattle or Sydney?
If it weren't for people driving on the wrong side of the road I would have swore I was back in downtown Seattle. Today was rain rain and more rain. Blue Mountains tomorrow. I'm hoping the rain lets up.

Sydney Opera House: Sydney Symphony
Hi Mates,
Last night I checked out a superb performance put on by the Sydney Symphony.
Here's the playlist:
Percy Grainger (1882-1961)
Danish Folk Music Suite
The Power of Love (...no not Huey Lewis and The News...lol)
Lord Peter's Stable-Boy
'The Nightingale' and "The Two Sisters'
Jutish Medley
Edvard Grieg (1843-1907)
Piano Concerto in A Minor, Op. 16
(this piece is familiar...you've heard the intro to this one...)
Allegro molto moderato
Adagio -
Allegro moderato molto e marcato
Arthur Honegger (1892-1955)
Lithurigal Symphony (Symphony No. 3)
(the piece reminded me of a WWII movie made in the 50s...actually the piece is a memorial piece in respects to the battlefronts in WWII...very true to form)
Dies irae (Allegro marcato)
Deprofundic clamavi (Adagio)
Dona nobis pacem (Andante)

more time in said Sydney...
Unfotunately I can't upload any photos at this time, however I've been logging in the miles (kilometers) walking around the various districts of Sydney. Yep, walked around the Sydney Opera House area which included the Harbour Bridge and Botanical Gardens. Tomorrow I will be going to a show featuring the Sydney Symphony. My seat is in back of the performance...it should be interesting.
Reflecting back on my stay in Brisbane, I heard these wicked birds all the time. These whip birds definitely due their name justice. Here.
